While we have always loved working with the New Zealand Olympic Committee – we were especially excited when they offered us an opportunity to shoot one-on-one with living Kiwi legend Dame Valerie Adams!
One year out from the 2018 Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast, the NZOC approached us to help produce a video that would get their audience adequately pumped for the big event. Playing up the historic rivalry between Aussies and New Zealanders, the concept hinged on our beloved sporting champion leading the charge – hurling her shot put across the Tasman with a friendly word of warning.
Once we finished fanboying over Dame Valerie, we collected our wits and got stuck in. An international production, the project presented its own set of obstacles – but nothing outside our ability to handle. Having already worked with us extensively on their Rio campaign in 2016, the NZOC knew their new video was in safe, capable hands – much like Dame Valerie’s!
Well, okay – maybe not quite like Dame Valerie’s, but you get the picture.
The video seems to have delivered the impression the NZOC was after. With over 100k views and 300 shares on facebook, the video got people from around the world talking and excited for next year’s games.
