The library. A place for reading, research, and quiet contemplation. Definitely not a place for stand-up comedy.
Comedian Nic Sampson approached us with an idea: round up a bunch of stand-up comedians and have them perform at Auckland Public Library at 10am on a Sunday. Perfectly reasonable, right? Partnering with The Spinoff, we produced a series of short videos to document the occasion. The stunt featured comedians such Funny Girls‘ Laura Daniel, Billy T Award-Winner Melanie Bracewell, and more. You can read an interview with Nic and more about the experiment in The Spinoff’s write-up here. We’re always keen to help push the limits and try something new.
